SELOUS NYERERE NATIONAL PARK
This safari tour will take you to the one of the southern circuit park- Selous game reserve, this game reserve is very known for it’s vastness which cover the total area of more than 50,000 km square, and this reserve is the home of endangered African hunting dogs. Selous Game Reserve, the largest animal sanctuary in the world, has different varieties of plants and animals. Selous Game Reserve has the largest concentration of African wild dogs in the world.
MIKUMI NATIONAL PARK
This is Tanzania’s fourth-largest national park. It’s also the most accessible from Dar Es Salaam and other regions, with almost guaranteed wildlife sightings like Lions, Elephants, Leopard, zebras, hyenas, hippos, Cape buffalo, wildebeest, Impala and more.
Located just 300km away from the commercial city of Dar-es-Salaam, the park has a lot more to offer for its visitors.

DAY 1, Dar es salaam to Selous Ngalawa Tented Camp
Morning pickup from your hotel in Dar es Salaam and drive to Selous Game Reserve. You will have a picnic lunch on the way and the journey will take 5 to 6 hours through some of the unexplored and untouched areas in Tanzania. In the afternoon embark on a boat safari, where you’ll admire hippos and crocodiles in their natural habitat ad get close to riverine bird species. Stay at Ngalawa Camp, just outside the reserve gate.
DAY 2, Full day game drive inside Selous Game Reserve
After an early breakfast, you will depart on a full day game drive in the reserve. Selous is home to a large population of elephants, big numbers of buffalo and wild dogs. Other species commonly seen are lion, bushbuck, impala, giraffe, eland, baboon, zebra, Kudus and crocodile. Dinner and overnight will be at Ngalawa Camp.
DAY 3, Selous to Mikumi National Park with game viewing en route
After breakfast, you will go for a walking safari, accompanied by rangers armed for about two hours. The aim is not to walk up to potentially dangerous game, but rather to be able to get a more intimate feel for the bush and take a closer look at some of the smaller but equally important members of the eco-system. After the walk, game viewing en-route to Mikumi National Park. Check-in at Mikumi Bastian Camp.
DAY 4, Full day drive in Mikumi National Park
After an early breakfast, you will go on a full day game drive in the park. The Mikumi flood plain is the main feature of the park along with the bordering mountain ranges. Animals commonly found here include lion, eland, hartebeest, buffalo, wildebeest, giraffe, zebra, hippo and elephant. Overnight at Mikumi Bastian Camp.
DAY 5, Maasai Village visit then drive to Dar es Salaam
This morning you will visit a Maasai village near the park to see how they live and then depart to Dar es Salaam, a five-hour drive away.
